Join us for an evening with author and Urologist Martha Boone as we celebrate her newest novel, Mother Charity.
Martha’s story of her time working at Charity Hospital is immortalized in her novels. Mother Charity is the sequel to The Big Free and continues the gripping story of an intern in surgery and all the trials and tribulations that come with it, from devastating horror to ribald dark humor.
Entrance to the event is free however tickets are required.

Martha B. Boone, M.D. was a surgery resident and urology resident at Tulane and trained at Charity Hospital in New Orleans from 1985-1991. She is one of the first one hundred women board certified in Urology in the United States. She retired from the practice of urology after 35 years to travel and write. She was challenged by her mentor, Dr. Norman McSwain to memorialize the great Charity Hospital in her novels. Mother Charity is her third book and the sequel to The Big Free. She is also the author of the nonfiction book, The Unfettered Urologist.
